On Monday; Chief Justice Chandrachud and Supreme Court Judges Visit Amrit Udyan with President Murmu

On Monday (4th March): Chief Justice Chandrachud, along with Supreme Court judges, toured Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan alongside President Murmu. The visit, inclusive of family members, featured interactions and photo sessions. Amrit Udyan, formerly Mughal Gardens, hosts the ‘Udyan Utsav 2024,’ displaying over 85 flower species, a floral clock, and a selfie point. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the garden amalgamates Mughal and British architecture, blossoming with vibrant flowers during the Spring Festival.

NEW DELHI: On Monday (4th March): The Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, along with Supreme Court judges, visited the Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu also joined them during the visit and interacted with the delegation. The visit included family members of the Chief Justice and the judges.

President Droupadi Murmu shared photos of the visit on X, captioning the event as, “Chief Justice of India, Dr. Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Supreme Court judges, along with their families visited the Amrit Udyan of Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu joined them in the visit to the Udyan and interacted with them.”

During the visit, DY Chandrachud was spotted taking photographs in the Amrit Udyan, showcasing a refreshing break from his legal responsibilities.

The Amrit Udyan recently hosted the ‘Udyan Utsav 2024,’ inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu on February 1. The garden, spanning 15 acres, is now open to the public until March 31st. It features over 85 species of flowers, a floral clock, and a selfie point.

Formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, Amrit Udyan is an architectural marvel inspired by India’s historic Mughal gardens. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the chief architect of New Delhi, the gardens beautifully blend Mughal and British architectural styles.

Every spring, the gardens come alive with vibrant flowers during the “Udyan Usav” or Spring Festival, inviting the public to witness the colorful bloom of tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths. It’s a delightful experience for visitors to explore the serene beauty of the gardens.
