BREAKING | Senior Advocate N Hariharan Wins DHCBA President Post in Close Contest – Full Election Results Inside!

NEW DELHI: Senior Advocate N Hariharan has been chosen as the new President of the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) after winning the recent elections.

The election was conducted through ballot voting on March 21, and the counting of votes began on March 22 and was completed today.

This election was a much-awaited event for the legal community. It was originally planned for October 2024, but it got postponed many times.

Finally, it was successfully held at the Delhi High Court premises.


President Election Results

Senior Advocate N Hariharan won the post of President by receiving 2967 votes, defeating Senior Advocate Kirti Uppal, who got 2880 votes.

The winning margin was 87 votes.

There were two other candidates for the President post:

  • Senior Advocate Abhijat received 1429 votes
  • Senior Advocate Vivek Sood received 339 votes

About N Hariharan

  • He has more than 38 years of legal practice.
  • He studied law at Campus Law Centre, Delhi University.
  • He was given the title of Senior Advocate in 2013.


    This victory shows the trust and respect he holds among the legal fraternity.

Vice President Election Result

Senior Advocate Sacchin Puri has been elected as the Vice President of the DHCBA.

  • He completed his Political Science degree from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.
  • Later, he did LLB from Delhi University.
  • He was designated as a Senior Advocate in 2016.

Other candidates for this post were:

  • Advocate Shyam Sharma
  • Senior Advocate Inderbir Singh Alagh

Secretary Election Result

Advocate Vikram Singh Tanwar has been elected as the Secretary of DHCBA.

  • He studied law from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University.

Other candidates for Secretary were:

  • Advocate Mohit Gupta, who got 1456 votes
  • Advocate Anil Kathuria, who got 81 votes

Tanwar’s victory shows that young and hardworking lawyers are also being appreciated in the DHCBA.

Treasurer Election Result

Advocate Kanika Singh has been elected as the Treasurer with a big win.

  • She completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University
  • She then studied law at Campus Law Centre, Delhi University
  • From 2019 to 2022, she worked as a Member Executive in DHCBA

Other candidates were:

  • Advocate Zeba Khair
  • Advocate Kusum Dhalla

Joint Secretary Election Result

Advocate Kunal Malhotra has been elected as the Joint Secretary of DHCBA.

About Kunal Malhotra:

  • He has 15 years of experience, mainly dealing with criminal law cases.

The DHCBA elections this year were very competitive, with many experienced and talented lawyers participating.
