This initiative aims to simplify the process of resolving conflicts and reduce the workload on courts.
The program was officially launched on January 15 by Justice A Muhamed Mustaque, Kerala High Court Judge and KeLSA Executive Chairman.
The primary goal of Harmony Hub is to reduce court delays by encouraging parties to settle their disputes amicably. This approach avoids the costs and lengthy processes associated with traditional litigation.
The scheme provides various free services, including counselling sessions, mediation services, non-binding legal advice or legal aid, emotional support, and wellness programs. These services are designed to offer comprehensive support to individuals seeking resolutions.
People interested in availing these services can visit any of the fourteen District Legal Services Authorities in Kerala.
The program is not limited to marital relationships; it also covers relationships like live-in partnerships, ensuring broader accessibility.
“All discussions, documents, and information shared during the process will be strictly confidential.”
If the parties reach an agreement with enforceable terms, the settlement can be presented to the Lok Adalat, which can issue an award based on the agreement. This ensures that the settlement is legally binding and offers a quicker and more effective way to implement the terms without the delays of court litigation.
Harmony Hub represents a significant step toward making the legal process more approachable and efficient for families and individuals dealing with disputes.
