A shocking case has emerged in Jharkhand where 3,000 Muslim birth certificates were issued in a village with no Muslim families. Meanwhile, the Phalgam terror attack has sparked fresh concerns over national security threats.
Jharkhand: A very surprising and serious case has come to light from Mativandhi village in Chakulia block near Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. This village mostly has tribal and Hindu people, but nearly 3,000 birth certificates of Muslim children were made using this village’s address even though there is not even one Muslim family living there.
This strange and worrying matter has raised many questions and fears about a possible big conspiracy.
The people of the village were shocked when they came to know about it.

They said,
“How can birth certificates of Muslim children be issued from our village when we don’t even have a single Muslim family?”
Mativandhi village has Adivasi, Mahato, and Tanti communities. According to the villagers, some serious plan is going on, and it could be linked to the issue of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in Jharkhand. They believe that this might be a part of a well-planned racket. Many villagers are now saying that someone may be trying to slowly change the population of the area using fake documents.
This case came to the attention of the district administration, and after the first level of checking, officials found that 116 birth certificates were fake. Later, this number increased to almost 3,000. The officials are surprised and confused about how such a large number of false documents were created using the name of a village where no Muslim family lives.
According to the rules, if a child is born and the birth certificate is to be made within 30 days, the village panchayat committee member sends the details to the BDO (Block Development Officer), who then issues an OTP (One-Time Password) for the process. If more than 30 days have passed, the matter goes to the SDO (Sub-Divisional Officer). But first, the panchayat committee member checks and confirms whether the information is correct.
In this case, the village’s panchayat committee member is Sunil Mahato. He has been very sick since November and is physically not fit to even stand properly. He is not able to do any official work. But still, someone used his OTP to issue hundreds of fake birth certificates. When the administration found out, they sent a notice to Sunil Mahato. He gave a written reply saying that he is just as surprised as everyone else.
He said,
“Jila prashasan ne notice kiya tha aur humne notice ka jawab de diya hai ki ye sari cheezein hamare karyakaal ki nahi hai.”
He believes that someone used his OTP and did this fraud behind his back. He said,
“Hum khud chakit hain ki bimar hone ke dauraan hamare OTP number ko lekar kisi ne itna bada farziwada kar diya hai.”
This also means that this fraud might have been happening even before his term began. Now the local schools will also have to check which birth certificates from Mativandhi are real and which ones are fake. Mahato has requested the administration to find the real culprits.
He said,
“Ham khud chahte hain ki doshi par kadi se kadi karwai ho, mere peeche kisi ne bada shadayantra kiya hai. Iske peeche koi bada racket kaam kar raha hai.”
The village head (Mukhiya) Jadu Hembram also confirmed the problem and told the officials,
“Hamare gaon mein ek bhi Muslim parivar nahi hai aur is tarah ka pramanpatra agar bana hai to iski jaanch ho aur doshiyon ko kadi se kadi saza mile.”
He also said that he fully supported the officials when they visited the village. The mobile phone used for the OTP has been seized by the administration.
Villagers are asking how so many certificates of Muslim children were made from their village when no Muslim families live there.
Now people are asking,
“Ye Muslim kahan ke hain ye bhi jaanana ab zaroori hai, kyunki hamare gaon me Adivasi, Mahato aur Tanti hi hain, Musalman nahi hain.”
Villagers are now saying that someone is trying to cheat innocent tribal people and help outsiders enter the village illegally. They believe this is being done by making false birth certificates. They said that slowly such people will increase in number, and the local population may be pushed out. They are demanding strong action and proper investigation to find out who is doing all this and why.
Jamshedpur district’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ananya Mittal confirmed that an investigation is going on.
He said,
“Poore maamle ki jaanch chal rahi hai aur jo bhi log honge doshi unhe baksha nahi jaayega.”
He also shared that 118 fake birth certificates have been identified and recommended for cancellation. A special investigation team has been formed under the SDO to check all details.
DC Mittal added,
“Kafi taadaad mein farzi janm pramanpatra banne ki shikayat mili hai. 118 janm pramanpatra galat tareeke se banaye gaye hain, jisko radd karne ki anushansa ki gayi hai.”
Many mobile phones and computers have been seized during the investigation. Several Common Service Centres (Pragya Kendras) have also been sealed. Some of these centres were closed earlier but may have been used for making forged documents in large numbers.
Authorities have said that every angle will be looked into and no one who is guilty will be spared. Meanwhile, the villagers of Mativandhi are still shocked and asking how something so big happened without anyone noticing for so long.
Meanwhile, in Jammu and Kashmir, a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam has shocked the nation.
These developments in Jharkhand created serious concern as, a brutal terror attack happened in the Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. At least 27 pilgrims were killed and over 30 others were injured when terrorists targeted a bus carrying Hindu pilgrims. The bus fell into a deep gorge after terrorists opened fire near Tungi Morh in the evening. Initial reports suggest that the bus lost control after being attacked and rolled down a hillside.
Security forces and rescue teams rushed to the spot and helped transport the injured to nearby hospitals. Central and state intelligence agencies are now looking into the possibility that Pakistani handlers were involved in the planning of this attack.
This incident has caused deep anger and sadness across the country, with many calling for a strong response. The Union Home Ministry has asked for a detailed report, and extra security arrangements are being made in all pilgrimage zones, especially with the upcoming Amarnath Yatra season.
Both the Jharkhand fake birth certificate case and the Pahalgam terror attack have raised serious concerns about national security, illegal activities, and the safety of innocent civilians. Investigations in both matters are ongoing, and the entire nation is watching closely.
