A video of Advocate Anil Mishra’s comments on Dr B.R. Ambedkar went viral after being shared on Instagram. Mishra said he welcomes the FIR against him and vowed to continue his fight without fear.
On October 6, a controversy broke out after Advocate Anil Mishra, former President of the High Court Bar Association, Gwalior, made a strong statement regarding Dr B.R. Ambedkar that went viral on social media.
An Instagram user with the handle @banna_malviya__ambedkar shared the video clip, which quickly spread online, triggering heated debates.
Despite the FIR registered against him, Anil Mishra openly welcomed the move and declared he would not back down.
He said,
“I’m delighted to accept this FIR—it was anticipated. But let me be clear: I’m not afraid, and I stand by every word I said. By targeting me, they’ve only invited the unity of Savarnas against the terror of Ambedkarite extremism. I’ll continue to fight for our rights, ready to face all consequences—even if they register 100 more FIRs. Nothing to worry—our struggle is just beginning!”
He further remarked that the FIR had no legal basis under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). In his words,
“Though the word ‘गंदा आदमी’ doesn’t attract any section of BNS, their actions only fuel our resolve.”
On October 7, Anil Mishra announced that he was voluntarily appearing before the Superintendent of Police in Gwalior in connection with the FIR.

He stated,
“In full faith of the rule of law and the fairness of our judicial system, I am voluntarily approaching today at 02:00 PM in the office of the Superintendent of Police, District Gwalior, in connection with the FIR recently registered against me.”
Calling the case fabricated, he said,
“Let it be placed on record that the said FIR is nothing but a blatant abuse of the process of law, motivated by ulterior intentions and pressurise me through false and fabricated allegations. I have nothing to hide and nothing to fear.”
The senior advocate stressed that attempts to misuse the law cannot silence him.
He added,
“If anyone believes that by misusing the machinery of law and lodging a false FIR they can break my resolve or silence my truth — they are gravely mistaken. I have full faith that justice shall prevail, and the facts will ultimately expose every falsehood.”
Concluding with a firm belief in the Constitution, Mishra said,
“I am approaching not out of fear, but out of respect for due process and my unwavering belief in the Constitution of Hon’ble Shir Justice B.N. Rau Ji, which stands above all forms of deceit and manipulation. Truth has its own voice, and I choose to face every proceeding with integrity and courage.”
