Elvish Yadav reacts after Supreme Court dismisses FIR in the snake venom case, calling it his “Independence Day.” He questions who will compensate for the “pain and trauma” faced by his family over the last 2.5 years.

Elvish Yadav has received major relief from the Supreme Court of India, as the Court dismissed the FIR filed against him in the snake venom case. The FIR was originally registered by the Uttar Pradesh Police in 2023 under the Wildlife Protection Act. However, the Supreme Court bench clearly stated that the case cannot continue because the complaint was not filed by an authorised person, which is a mandatory legal requirement under the law.

The Court also made an important observation regarding the applicability of the NDPS Act. It held that the NDPS Act does not apply in this case because the liquid substance that was allegedly found was not classified as a scheduled drug. This finding played a crucial role in granting relief to Elvish Yadav and effectively closing the case against him.

Following this verdict, Elvish Yadav shared a video message on social media platform X, where he expressed his happiness and relief. He began the video by wishing his fans on Gudi Padwa and then spoke about the Supreme Court’s decision. Reacting emotionally, he said that “he is celebrating Independence Day in the true sense today” after the Court dismissed the case against him.

In the video, Elvish stated that “today is his Independence Day” as he has finally been freed from the legal charges that had been hanging over him for a long time. He also expressed his faith in the Indian judiciary, saying that he always trusted the system and thanked the Supreme Court for delivering justice by quashing the FIR filed against him.

He further spoke about his arrest, recalling that he was taken into custody on March 17, 2024. Since then, the case had been widely covered by various media platforms, which, according to him, caused significant distress to him and his family. Talking about this difficult phase, Elvish raised an important question, asking, “Who will compensate for the pain and trauma that my family suffered in the last 2.5 years?”

Elvish Yadav described the verdict as a big and emotional moment in his life. He said that he is extremely happy and relieved after the Court’s decision. He also took the opportunity to thank his fans, whom he refers to as his army, along with his family members and close friends who supported him throughout this challenging period. Celebrating his legal victory, he once again referred to this day as his personal “Independence Day.”

Elvish Yadav rose to massive popularity after winning Bigg Boss OTT 2, where he made history by becoming the first wildcard contestant to win the show hosted by Salman Khan. He continued his success streak by winning Roadies Double Cross as a gang leader and also Laughter Chefs Season 2 alongside Karan Kundrra. Currently, he is hosting Engaged Season 2 with Jiya Shankar on JioHotstar.

With the Supreme Court’s decision in his favour, Elvish Yadav’s fans have flooded social media with messages of support and celebration, marking a significant moment in his personal and professional journey.
