A Rs 100 crore defamation case has been filed against actress Khushi Mukherjee after her remarks about Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav went viral. Social media influencer Faizan Ansari has demanded immediate FIR registration, calling the statements false and damaging to the cricketer’s reputation.

Actress Khushi Mukherjee has landed in legal trouble after her remarks about India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav created a massive controversy on social media. The issue started after Mukherjee made comments about the star Indian cricketer while speaking to paparazzi at a public social event.

Her statement, where she claimed that Suryakumar Yadav “used to message him a lot,” quickly went viral and triggered strong reactions online.

Following the backlash, a Mumbai-based social media influencer, Faizan Ansari, has filed a defamation complaint against the actress. According to a report, Ansari filed a defamation case of Rs 100 crore against Khushi Mukherjee on January 13. The complaint was submitted at the Ghazipur police station, where Ansari stated that Mukherjee’s claims were false, misleading, and harmful.

In his complaint, Ansari alleged that the actress made defamatory statements about Suryakumar Yadav only to gain publicity and media attention. He claimed that such remarks could seriously damage the reputation of an international cricketer who represents the country at the highest level.

Demanding strict legal action, Ansari also called for severe punishment, including a jail term of at least seven years, for what he described as baseless and irresponsible allegations.

Speaking to reporters after filing the complaint, Ansari said,

“We want an FIR to be registered immediately against Khushi Mukherjee. I have mentioned this in my written complaint as well and requested strict action. At the very least, serious charges should be applied. More than two million people follow me on Instagram, and crores of people watch my videos.”

He further added,

“It is my responsibility to take this issue to every corner of the world. I am not afraid of anyone. I only want justice. I demand that an FIR be lodged immediately against Khushi Mukherjee, no matter how many difficulties arise. Until I get justice, I will stay in Ghazipur city.”

The controversy began when Khushi Mukherjee was asked about dating cricketers during a public interaction with the media. In response, she stated that she did not want to date any cricketer and claimed that many cricketers were interested in her.

During the same interaction, she mentioned that Suryakumar Yadav used to message her earlier, but they are no longer in contact, and that she does not want her name to be linked with him.

Her remarks spread rapidly across social media platforms, leading to widespread criticism and outrage from fans and followers of the Indian cricketer. The matter soon escalated, resulting in the defamation case filed by Faizan Ansari.

After facing severe backlash, Khushi Mukherjee issued a clarification in an interview with NDTV. She stated that she never had any romantic relationship with Suryakumar Yadav and claimed that her words were misunderstood and exaggerated. The actress also alleged that her Instagram account had been hacked, which added to the confusion surrounding the controversy.

Mukherjee further explained that she had only spoken to Suryakumar Yadav as a friend in the past and that they are no longer in touch. She clarified that she has not spoken to him even after the controversy erupted.

Ending her statement on a positive note, the actress wished Team India and captain Suryakumar Yadav well for the upcoming World Cup, stating that their earlier conversations were friendly and took place after a match loss.

The legal proceedings are now awaited, as the police are yet to decide on the registration of an FIR in the matter.
