BREAKING | CJI Sanjiv Khanna's 1st Visit to Tirupati After Taking Charge: Special Darshan at Tirumala Temple

Tirupati: The Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, will visit Tirupati district today for a two-day official visit. This will be his first visit to the holy town after becoming the Chief Justice of India (CJI).

According to official information, Justice Khanna is expected to land at Renigunta Airport around 2 PM on Saturday. From there, he will travel directly to Tirumala, the famous temple town that houses the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

To welcome him, Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur and other top officials will be present at the airport. They will also accompany the Chief Justice to Tirumala.

As per temple authorities, Justice Khanna will take part in the sacred ‘Suprabhata Seva’ at the Tirumala temple. This is a special early morning ritual held to wake up the deity, and it is considered very holy by devotees.

The Tirupati District Administration and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) have made tight and detailed arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Chief Justice’s visit. A high-level meeting was conducted on Friday to review the arrangements.

District Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar and Superintendent of Police Harshavardhan Raju discussed important security measures and coordination efforts with CISF and airport authorities regarding the VIP’s arrival.

All departments have been instructed to work together to ensure there are no issues during the Chief Justice’s stay in the district.

This visit is seen as an important moment for both the judiciary and the devotees, as the country’s top judge is visiting one of India’s most sacred temples.
