Sonam’s brother says he’s “100 per cent sure” she killed her husband during their Meghalaya honeymoon. Family cuts all ties and backs victim’s kin in fight for justice.

INDORE/SHILLONG: Today, on June 11, in a shocking twist to the gruesome honeymoon murder case, the brother of accused Sonam Raghuvanshi has made a bold public statement, saying he is “100 per cent” sure that Sonam is behind the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, during their honeymoon in Meghalaya.
The case, which has grabbed national attention, took a new turn as Sonam’s family disowned her and declared full support to the victim’s family.
Govind Raghuvanshi, Sonam’s brother, spoke to the media and said,
“100 per cent sure she (Sonam) has orchestrated the crime and she should be hanged if found guilty.”
Expressing deep sorrow and disappointment over the alleged crime, he added that their family has completely cut ties with Sonam after learning about her involvement in the case.
He also assured Raja’s family that they are standing with them in this time of grief.
In his emotional remarks, Govind Raghuvanshi said,
“We have snapped all ties with my sister. We are with Raja’s family and will help them in their fight for justice.”
His statement has added further emotional weight to an already disturbing case.
Meanwhile, legal proceedings are progressing in Meghalaya, where the crime took place. A court in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, on Wednesday remanded Sonam Raghuvanshi and her four aides to eight-day police custody.
These five accused were arrested last month in connection with the murder of Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, who was allegedly killed by his wife and her associates during their honeymoon trip.
According to police sources, Raja was allegedly lured into a trap by his wife Sonam, who had planned the murder in advance with the help of four other people.
The case is being closely monitored as police continue their investigation into the motive, financial transactions, and call records between the accused.
The statement by Sonam’s brother adds a crucial layer to the case. With the family completely distancing itself from the accused, it remains to be seen how the court will evaluate both the prosecution’s evidence and public sentiment, especially in light of such a strong family condemnation.
The next few days of police custody are expected to be critical, as the authorities plan to interrogate Sonam and her accomplices to uncover the full details of the conspiracy.
The legal community and public across India are closely watching the case for updates and developments.
This tragic case not only highlights a heinous crime but also brings to light the deep emotional, social, and legal consequences that follow such betrayals within a family.
As Govind Raghuvanshi rightly put it, “We are with Raja’s family and will help them in their fight for justice.”
