The alleged crimes took place over a period of time, and according to the police, the trio used threats, blackmail, and intimidation to silence the survivor.
As per the police complaint, the ordeal began when Narendra first contacted the student under the excuse of sharing academic notes. He gradually gained her trust by constantly messaging her and developing a friendly connection.

Later, he allegedly invited her to Anoop’s room in Bengaluru. It was there that he raped her and threatened her. He allegedly warned her with serious consequences if she dared to speak out about the incident.
According to the complaint,
“he allegedly raped her and threatened her with dire consequences if she spoke to anybody about what had happened.”
Just a few days after this incident, Sandeep, the Biology lecturer, also began making inappropriate advances towards the student. When she resisted, he allegedly blackmailed her by claiming to possess photos and videos of her with Narendra. \
The complaint says,
“he allegedly blackmailed her, claiming to have photos and videos of her with Narendra.”
Using this threat, Sandeep also raped her at the same location – Anoop’s residence.
The survivor’s trauma did not end there. Anoop, the friend of the lecturers and the person in whose room the earlier incidents happened, later used the CCTV footage of the girl entering his room to threaten her.
“Anoop then threatened the student with CCTV footage of her entering his room” and allegedly sexually assaulted her too.
Unable to bear the mental and physical trauma any longer, the student finally opened up to her parents when they came to visit her in Bengaluru.
After listening to her painful experience, the family approached the Karnataka State Women’s Commission to seek justice. Following this, they filed a formal police complaint at the Marathahalli Police Station.
Based on the complaint, the police arrested all three accused — Narendra, Sandeep, and Anoop — and produced them before a court. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are collecting further evidence and statements.
