Andhra Pradesh: On November 21, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly passed a resolution to establish a High Court bench in Kurnool.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu confirmed that the resolution, which had already been approved by the State Cabinet, would be sent to the Central government.

Following the 2014 bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the state and Telangana shared a common High Court in Hyderabad until December 2018. The Andhra Pradesh High Court began its operations from Amaravati on January 1, 2019.

Naidu emphasized that his government is committed to the state’s overall development, with plans for growth in Visakhapatnam (North Andhra), Kurnool, and Tirupati in the Rayalaseema region.
