Today, On 14th December, Actor Allu Arjun’s lawyers announced plans to take legal action over his alleged “illegal detention.” Despite a High Court order for his immediate release, the directive was reportedly ignored, prompting this response. New Delhi: Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s legal team is preparing to take action regarding his “illegal detention,” despite the High Court’s directive for his immediate release.
Following his release from Chanchalguda Jail on Saturday morning, his lawyer, Ashok Reddy, informed the media that the actor was unlawfully held even after the jail authorities received the High Court’s order.
Reddy emphasized that the High Court’s ruling explicitly stated that “Allu Arjun should be released forthwith.”
He remarked,
“Despite receiving the order copy, they did not release him. You should question the government and the department about why the actor was not released. The High Court order was very specific: upon receipt of the order, the actor must be released. Yet, this did not happen, and they must provide an explanation.”
He added,
“We will take further steps. We will pursue whatever legal actions are permissible.”
The actor’s legal representatives asserted that there was no delay in the jail authorities receiving the order. They claimed to have submitted a certified copy of the High Court’s decision, which was also delivered by a High Court messenger to the authorities.
After his release, Allu Arjun went to Geetha Arts, the family film production company, where he spent an hour discussing matters with his lawyers. He was released from jail at 6:40 a.m., nearly 12 hours after the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks.
Jail officials stated that they received the bail order late at night, and since prisoners cannot be released during night-time according to jail regulations, the actor was freed the following morning.
