Wife of an Air Force personnel in Nagpur has alleged that her husband’s former classmate and associates subjected her to rape, blackmail, alleged black magic, and forced religious conversion. Police arrested two accused, Ayaaz Madare and Ameen Shaikh, while a team searches for an allegedly involved cleric.
In a disturbing incident reported from Nagpur, the wife of an Air Force personnel has alleged that her husband’s old classmate and his associates subjected her to rape, blackmail, “black magic,” and forced religious conversion. Police have arrested two men including the main accused and a team has been sent to Madhya Pradesh to trace a maulana (cleric) allegedly involved in the conversion. The arrested persons have been identified as Ayaaz Madare and his associate Ameen Shaikh.
According to the FIR, on February 8, 2025, the complainant says that during a meeting at a hotel, Ayaaz allegedly spiked her drink. After she regained consciousness, she claims the accused had recorded objectionable photos and videos of her. She further alleges that he then blackmailed her, threatening to share the videos with her husband and post them online.
The victim’s complaint states that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted and that approximately Rs 4 lakh was extorted from her.
A viral video has become a major part of the evidence. The clip shows the 24-year-old woman crying and pleading with the accused, Ayaaz Madare (26), to let her go. In the video, she is heard saying: “Chhodo Mujhe” (let me go), as Ayaaz is shown holding her hands while chanting religious verses and repeatedly blowing over her. The woman is seen trying to free herself.
In her complaint, she alleged that she was later declared “converted,” and that an attempt was made to rape her afterwards. She also claimed that Ayaaz would frequently bring a plastic bottle containing some liquid and force her to drink it. She alleges that he would then mutter in Urdu, blow on her face, and claim it was “hypnosis and black magic” before sexually assaulting her. The video is said to capture a ritual involving black magic or hypnosis.
The complaint also describes another incident cited by the victim. On May 31, Madare and his associate allegedly took her forcibly to Kalmeshwar. There, the woman claims that a third accused Hazrat Maulana from Tamia village in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh conducted religious rituals and compelled her to say “qubool hai” in order to convert her to Islam.
She alleged the ritual was conducted against her will. After the ceremony, the maulana allegedly declared that she had converted to Islam and that her “nikah” with Ayaaz had been completed. She also claims she was forced to eat meat and recite the kalma. Following this, the group allegedly took her to a hotel where Ayaaz allegedly raped her again.
The victim further alleged that the accused continued to visit her home and sexually assault her.
Police have invoked provisions under the anti-black magic law, along with charges including rape, repeated sexual assault, extortion, blackmail, and forced conversion. A Nagpur police team is searching for the maulana who allegedly performed the conversion.
DCP Suresh Reddy said:
“In her complaint, the woman has alleged rape, extortion, conversion, and black magic. Electronic devices seized are being forensically analysed. This evidence will be very crucial. A police team has gone to another state to search for the maulana who performed the conversion. A thorough investigation is underway.”
