MUMBAI:Today(on 16th April), The Mumbai Killa Court has ordered custody of the two suspects arrested in connection with the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence until April 25.

The accused, Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) from Bihar, appeared in court after undergoing a comprehensive medical examination. Initial investigations indicated their affiliation with Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, as confirmed by Kachchh DSP AR Zankant.

DSP Zankant stated-

“The Mumbai Police had been probing the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s residence. Upon discovering the presence of the two suspects in Kuchchh, Mumbai Police promptly alerted Kuchchh Police. Several teams were deployed to apprehend them, resulting in their arrest by Kuchchh Police. They were later transferred to Mumbai Police custody. Initial questioning unveiled their links to Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang.”

Notably, Salman Khan’s security was raised to Y-Plus status in November 2022 in response to ongoing threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. Furthermore, Khan has been authorized to carry a personal firearm and has procured an armored vehicle to bolster his security and safety measures.

The Bhuj police, in an earlier statement, disclosed-

“The West Kachchh Police apprehended two suspects associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who fired shots outside actor Salman Khan’s residence on April 14. Identified as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) from Bihar, they were arrested following an operation led by the Bhuj police.”

They further confirmed-

“They have been transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch for additional interrogation.”

The disturbing incident occurred on a peaceful Sunday morning, as two masked attackers on a motorcycle boldly fired shots outside Galaxy Apartments, Salman Khan’s residence, before quickly fleeing the scene. The carefully planned assault included the firing of four rounds, with one live cartridge left behind as evidence.

Responding to the event, actor Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan’s brother, conveyed the significant impact the incident has had on their family.

He stated-

The recent firing incident at Galaxy apartment, home to the Salim Khan family, has left us deeply troubled and unsettled. Our family has been profoundly affected by this unexpected event. Unfortunately, there are individuals falsely claiming to represent us who are spreading baseless rumors to the media, suggesting that it’s a publicity stunt and that our family is unaffected. These claims are untrue and should not be given any credibility.

Arbaaz Khan emphasized the family’s active cooperation with the Mumbai Police to thoroughly investigate the distressing event.

“The Salim Khan family hasn’t issued any statement to the media about this incident. Presently, we’re assisting and collaborating with the police in investigating this unfortunate event. We trust the Mumbai police, and they’ve assured us of their commitment to safeguarding our family.”
