MEERUT: On Friday(15th March),The Meerut District Court, led by Additional District Judge Kalpana Chauhan. The court sentenced three individuals, identified as Khaiber, Hasan, and Hussain, to life imprisonment for their involvement in the murder of a man named Shahrukh, a case that dates back to 2012.
The convicts were also fined Rs 30,000 each, a decision that underscores the court’s stance on penalizing criminal activities and deterring future offenses. Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rohit Singh Sajwan shared details of the case, shedding light on the events that led to this conclusive sentencing.
According to SSP Sajwan, the murder stemmed from a personal rivalry, a motive that culminated in a tragic loss of life. The three accused were implicated in the deliberate killing of Shahrukh, an act that not only ended a life but also left a community in mourning and a family seeking justice.
“The three men were booked for killing Shahrukh over personal rivalry in 2012,”
-Sajwan stated, emphasizing the personal nature of the crime.

The accused attempted to conceal their heinous act by hiding Shahrukh’s body. However, their efforts to evade justice were in vain as the police successfully recovered the body, a critical piece of evidence that played a significant role in the investigation.
“They attempted to hide his body but police managed to recover it,”
-the SSP recounted, highlighting the diligent efforts of the law enforcement officers involved in the case.
The recovery of the body led to the registration of a case at the Lisari Gate Police Station, marking the beginning of a thorough and meticulous investigation. The police’s dedication to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice for Shahrukh and his family was evident in their pursuit of evidence and accountability.
Following an extensive investigation, a charge sheet was filed against Khaiber, Hasan, and Hussain, setting the stage for the legal proceedings that ultimately led to their conviction.
