Today, On 12th June, The Karnataka High Court granted interim bail to all four accused in the Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede case. Those granted bail include RCB’s marketing head Nikhil Sosale and three DNA Entertainment executives involved in event management.
Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court granted interim bail to all four individuals implicated in the Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede case.
This includes Nikhil Sosale, the marketing head of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, along with three executives from DNA Entertainment Networks: director and vice-president Sunil Mathew, manager Kiran Kumar, and ticketing official Shamant Mavinakere.
While considering a petition that challenged Nikhil’s arrest, the court ordered all accused to surrender their passports.

The interim relief was given by a bench led by Justice SR Krishnakumar.
Justice Krishnakumar ended up hearings on the interim bail petitions submitted by the four accused on Wednesday (June 11), with the judgment set to be announced today.
The petitions, including those from Sosale, contested the legality of their arrests related to a tragic stampede on June 4 that resulted in 11 fatalities.
Sosale and the others argued in their high court petitions that their arrests were unlawful and highlighted significant procedural errors.
The hearings commenced on Monday, during which the Karnataka High Court expressed discontent with the state government’s opposition to granting “interim relief” to Sosale.
As the court awaited its verdict, the custody of the four accused remained undecided.
he Crime Investigation Department had sought nine days’ custody from the local magistrate court to investigate the June 4 stampede near M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which led to 11 deaths and numerous injuries.
A tragic stampede happened at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru during a Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fan event, resulting in several injuries. The chaos started when a large crowd gathered for the team’s pre-season jersey launch and fan interaction.
Eyewitnesses noted that poor crowd management and limited entry points caused panic and a rush among the people. Four individuals were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Earlier, The police have arrested four people related to the incident, and an investigation is ongoing.
Senior Advocate Sandesh J Chouta appeared for the petitioners, while Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty, along with Additional State Public Prosecutor B N Jagadeesha, appeared for the respondent.
