By morning, the ladies’ bar room, designated for women advocates, had been reduced to a soot-covered shell, and the adjoining rooms also suffered considerable damage.

The Bar Body mentioned in its statement,

“It is with deep regret that we inform the esteemed members of the Bar that an unfortunate fire incident occurred in the early hours of today. The fire has completely gutted the Ladies’ Bar Room as well as Room No. 4, and a portion of the Main Bar Room has also sustained significant damage,”

It noted that all necessary steps are being taken to restore the affected areas. Due to the financial requirements for the restoration efforts, the Bar body has appealed to its members, especially senior members and Senior Advocates, to contribute generously for this cause.

It added,
