CJI BR Gavai Launches Live Streaming of Bombay High Court Proceedings on YouTube

Today, On 5th July, CJI BR Gavai inaugurated live streaming of Bombay High Court proceedings on YouTube, enabling real-time public access to five benches. The launch also included free Wi-Fi and internet facilities within the High Court premises for better connectivity.

Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai inaugurated the live streaming of Bombay High Court proceedings on YouTube this Saturday.

This service will cover hearings before five selected benches of the High Court.

Today, CJI Gavai officially launched the live streaming service, which also includes the installation of free Wi-Fi and internet access within the High Court.

Other High Courts, such as those in Gujarat, Karnataka, Gauhati, Calcutta, Telangana, and Orissa, have already implemented live streaming of their proceedings on YouTube.

Live streaming of hearings from the Supreme Court Constitution Bench is also available.

Additionally, some High Courts do not impose restrictions on public access to their hybrid court links.

The initial five benches designated to start the live streaming are,

  1. Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sandeep V Marne;
  2. Justice R P Mohite-Dere and Justice Dr Neela Kedar Gokhale;
  3. Justice M S Sonak and Justice Jitendra Shantilal Jain;
  4. Justice Ravindra V Ghuge and Justice M M Sathaye;
  5. Justice A S Gadkari and Justice Rajesh S Patil.

Previously, Chief Justice Alok Aradhe had indicated that preparations were underway to initiate the live streaming of court proceedings.
