The Delhi High Court Chief Justice’s virtual hearing was abruptly stayed after a participant suddenly displayed pornographic visuals during the session. Disturbing audio followed, forcing authorities to immediately block access and shut down the video-conferencing platform.

The video-conferencing hearing before the Delhi High Court Chief Justice’s court had to be stopped on Tuesday after a participant suddenly displayed pornographic visuals on the screen.

The incident created an abrupt disruption, and disturbing audio was also played during the session, forcing the authorities to immediately block access to the virtual platform.

According to the details available, the objectionable content appeared on at least two screens while the court was in session. As soon as the visuals were noticed, the court staff temporarily shut down the video-conferencing system to prevent further disturbance.

After a few minutes, the virtual proceedings were restarted, but the same user again caused trouble by playing loud music, which further interrupted the hearing and made it difficult for others to participate.

Due to this repeated misconduct, the court decided to suspend the online proceedings for the time being. The unexpected interruption has raised serious concerns about security and access control in virtual courtrooms, especially when hearings have become a regular part of judicial functioning.

The Delhi High Court is likely to review the incident and examine how such unauthorised and disruptive behaviour can be prevented in future online hearings.
