Today, On 25th September, Karisma Kapoor’s kids have moved the Delhi High Court seeking their share of Rs30K crore in the Sunjay Kapur estate. The court observed, “As alleged beneficiaries, children must verify assets,” stressing their right to examine the estate.

Delhi High Court heard a high-stakes inheritance battle as Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor’s children move court seeking their share in the Rs.30,000 crore estate of their late father, Sunjay Kapur.
The matter is currently before Justice Jyoti Singh.
The plea is part of a partition suit filed by Karisma Kapoor and her two children, who are claiming their legal share in Sunjay Kapur’s massive estate.
Earlier, the High Court had directed Priya Kapur, Sunjay Kapur’s third wife, to submit the full list of assets.
Senior Advocate Shyel Trehan, representing Priya Kapur, argued that the details of the estate involve sensitive financial information and therefore should be submitted in a sealed cover.
However, counsel for Karisma Kapoor’s children opposed this move, stressing that as alleged beneficiaries, they have the right to know and question the disclosed assets.
Justice Jyoti Singh noted the potential issues with the sealed cover submission, observing,
“As alleged beneficiaries, the children must be able to verify the assets. If bound by confidentiality, how will they defend their case?”
Trehan informed the court that she will return with suggestions tomorrow.
The court has now listed the matter for further hearing tomorrow.
In a high-profile family dispute, the children of Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor and late businessman Sunjay Kapur have approached the Delhi High Court seeking their share in their father’s estimated Rs 30,000 crore estate.
The children alleged that Priya Kapur, Sunjay Kapur’s third wife, had forged his will to claim complete control over the assets, leaving them unfairly excluded. The disputed will, dated 21 March 2025, reportedly bequeaths the entire estate solely to Priya Kapur.
The suit names Priya Kapur, her minor son, Sunjay Kapur’s mother Rani Kapur, and the executor of the will, Shradha Suri Marwah, as defendants. The children claim that Priya, along with associates Dinesh Agarwal and Nitin Sharma, concealed the will for over seven weeks and disclosed it only at a family meeting on 30 July 2025.
They have argued that the will is forged and fabricated, citing suspicious circumstances and refusal to provide them with a copy. Through their petition, the children seek:
- Declaration as Class I legal heirs under the Hindu Succession Act.
- Partition of the estate, granting each child a one-fifth share.
- Interim freezing of all personal assets of Sunjay Kapur to prevent misuse.
