NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has suspended Justice Sanjeev Kumar Singh, who was serving in the Commercial Court at Saket, following allegations of serious misconduct. The decision was taken during a full court meeting of the Delhi High Court on August 29, 2025.
As per the High Court’s directive, Justice Sanjeev Kumar Singh has been barred from leaving Delhi without prior permission and ordered to remain at headquarters during the suspension. He will receive only a subsistence allowance until further notice.
According to sources, the allegations against Justice Sanjeev Kumar Singh include his involvement in certain financial transactions that raised questions of impropriety, attempts to pressure a lawyer in an ongoing case, and alleged efforts to influence a victim in a sexual assault case into “compromising” the matter.
These revelations reportedly came to light during the hearing of an appeal before the Delhi High Court, following which the matter was referred to the Vigilance Registrar for inquiry.

Based on the Vigilance inquiry report, the full court of the Delhi High Court decided to suspend Justice Singh pending further proceedings. The move underscores the judiciary’s effort to ensure integrity, accountability, and transparency within the system.
