Special Judge (POCSO) Chhavi Kapoor, who was presiding over the case involving Brij Bhushan Singh at the Patiala House Court, has now been reassigned to the Rouse Avenue Court as a special judge. Additional Sessions Judge Gomti Manocha will take over Kapoor’s previous responsibilities, where the latter had already reserved an order on the police report.

New Delhi: On Saturday( Oct 27): The Delhi High Court transferred several judicial officers across its subordinate courts within the national capital, including the judge overseeing the cancellation report filed by the Delhi Police in a minor wrestler’s sexual harassment case against former BJP MP and ex-Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The Delhi High Court has transferred over 200 judicial officers, including the judge handling the cancellation report against Brij Bhushan Singh.
The court issued new postings for 233 judicial officers in the Delhi Judicial Services and announced separate assignments for 23 officers under the Delhi Higher Judicial Service. The registrar general released the transfer orders on Friday, with immediate effect.

Additionally, Jitendra Singh, another Additional Sessions Judge, has been transferred to the Rouse Avenue Court to fill the vacancy created by the recent retirement of Special Judge Rakesh Syal.
Syal had been handling cases involving lawmakers, including the alleged Delhi excise policy scam implicating former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Waqf board scam case against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, and a 1984 anti-Sikh riots-related case involving Congress leader Jagdish Tytler.
The transfers also included the induction of approximately 70 newly trained judicial officers across various districts.
A notification stated,
“The Hon’ble Chief Justice and Hon’ble Judges of this Court have approved the postings/transfers in the Delhi Judicial Service with immediate effect.” A similar notification was issued for the Delhi Higher Judicial Service.
