Delhi High Court Enhances Security Measures Following Bomb Threat

Security measures at the Delhi High Court have been intensified following the receipt of a bomb threat via email by the Registrar General of the Delhi High Court yesterday (14 Feb 2024).

The threatening email, purportedly from someone named Balvant Desai, stated that a bomb would detonate on Thursday:

“I will detonate a bomb on 15/02/2024. This will be a significant explosion. Please increase your security measures and inform all the ministers. Everyone will be affected.”

Delhi High Court Enhances Security Measures Following Bomb Threat

The High Court has taken the threat seriously and bolstered security both within and around the High Court premises. An investigation into the email threat is underway, accompanied by a security exercise at the High Court today.
