MUMBAI: The Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, Alok Aradhe, shared some big news. He said that the High Court is getting ready to start live-streaming court hearings very soon.

This was revealed when Advocate Matthews J Nedumpara told the court that he had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) asking for the live broadcast of court proceedings.

The Bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sandeep V Marne gave an important update in response to the PIL.

They said,

“We have made substantial progress. The Full Court has passed a resolution for the live-streaming of certain courts. Technical arrangements are being made. First five courts will be live.”

This means that live broadcasting of some courtrooms has already been approved, and work is being done to set up the needed technology.
