The Bombay High Court will soon begin live-streaming court hearings. Chief Justice Alok Aradhe Today (June 10) confirmed technical work is in progress and five benches will be streamed first.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!MUMBAI: The Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, Alok Aradhe, shared some big news. He said that the High Court is getting ready to start live-streaming court hearings very soon.
This was revealed when Advocate Matthews J Nedumpara told the court that he had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) asking for the live broadcast of court proceedings.
The Bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sandeep V Marne gave an important update in response to the PIL.
They said,
“We have made substantial progress. The Full Court has passed a resolution for the live-streaming of certain courts. Technical arrangements are being made. First five courts will be live.”
This means that live broadcasting of some courtrooms has already been approved, and work is being done to set up the needed technology.

The judges also confirmed that the first five courtrooms (benches) that will start live-streaming are:
- Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sandeep V Marne
- Justice R P Mohite-Dere and Justice Dr Neela Kedar Gokhale
- Justice M S Sonak and Justice Jitendra Shantilal Jain
- Justice Ravindra V Ghuge and Justice M M Sathaye
- Justice A S Gadkari and Justice Rajesh S Patil
