NEW DELHI: AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has been granted anticipatory bail by a Rouse Avenue court, on Tuesday (25th Feb) in a case related to obstructing police officials during an arrest. Special Judge Jitendra Singh had earlier given Amanatullah Khan protection from arrest until Monday, which was later extended for one more day. The case involves allegations that Khan obstructed police personnel who were trying to arrest Shahwez Khan, an alleged proclaimed offender.
NEW DELHI: Today (16th Dec): The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has issued a criminal defamation notice to BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj following AAP leader Satyendar Jain’s allegations of defamatory remarks made during a TV interview on October 5, 2023. Jain accuses Swaraj of damaging his reputation through false claims regarding seized assets, prompting legal proceedings scheduled for December 20.
The Supreme Court on Thursday(14th Nov), granted former Chhattisgarh bureaucrat Anil Tuteja interim protection from arrest related to the Chhattisgarh liquor scam. This decision came after the Allahabad High Court denied his request to quash criminal proceedings. The court scheduled a hearing for January 21 and also sought responses from the Enforcement Directorate.
