A Delhi court has reserved its order on Christian Michel’s plea seeking release in the CBI case linked to the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam. Michel argues he has already completed the maximum seven-year custody period for the alleged offences.
The Delhi High Court has transferred 135 trial court judges across the capital, including those handling significant cases like the Northeast Delhi Riots and the Delhi Excise Policy case. This reshuffle includes prominent judges moving to new roles, alongside the appointment of 18 newly trained judges to various courts in Delhi.
Christian Michel, accused in the AgustaWestland chopper scam, has petitioned the Delhi High Court to relax his strict bail conditions. Extradited from the UAE in 2018, he faces allegations of corruption and money laundering. His plea, which seeks to ease restrictions impacting his personal freedom, is set for hearing soon.
