Rahul Gandhi was granted bail by a Nashik court in a defamation case over remarks on V D Savarkar during the 2022 Bharat Jodo Yatra. He appeared via video link and pleaded “not guilty” to the charges.
Rahul Gandhi has sought more time to respond to a defamation lawsuit regarding his comments on V D Savarkar, made during a speech in London. The Pune court postponed the hearing to July 3. Satyaki Savarkar, V D Savarkar’s grandnephew, claims Gandhi misquoted a book and has filed a complaint.
