Supreme Court Judge Justice B.V. Nagarathna has been appointed Chairperson of the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. She succeeds Justice J.K. Maheshwari and will lead the body responsible for providing legal aid to underprivileged citizens.
The Delhi High Court on Thursday(27th Nov) has directed the AAP government to respond to a petition from seven BJP MPs seeking the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Delhi. The court emphasized the importance of setting aside political differences for the welfare of residents facing high healthcare costs. Further hearings are set for December 11.
