The Supreme Court of India granted nine additional months to conclude the Sheena Bora murder trial after assessing the current status. It made clear that no further extension will be permitted and directed completion of proceedings promptly thereafter.
Today(on 26th June),The Madras High Court granted a four-month extension for the trial of former Tamil Nadu Minister V Senthil Balaji in a money laundering case. Justice N Anand Venkatesh had earlier dismissed Balaji’s bail petition, stressing the importance of expediting the trial.
Today (2nd May): The Delhi High Court granted a three-month extension to conclude the trial in the Paper Leak Case, aiming for expedited day-to-day proceedings with minimal adjournments. The case involves serious allegations against nine accused, including a registrar accused of leaking the paper to a co-conspirator. This decision follows a transfer petition filed by the accused and a request for a six-month extension due to the case’s voluminous nature.
