TV Today Network has filed a lawsuit against ABP News in the Delhi High Court, claiming the name ‘Maha Dangal’ for its show too closely resembles ‘Dangal’, hosted by Priyanka Tripathi. The court noted ‘Dangal’ can’t be trademarked, suggesting mediation for resolution, while highlighting branding issues in Indian TV news.
Today, On 31st January, The Bombay High Court appointed a former Supreme Court judge to mediate the dispute between the Lodha brothers. Initially, the mediation will only involve Abhishek Lodha and Abhinandan Lodha. Other relevant parties may be included later if necessary. The court’s decision aims to resolve the conflict amicably.

The Delhi High Court Today (Dec 17) referred a suit filed by Medecins Sans Frontieres/ MSF (Doctors Without Borders) against Dharma Productions over the use of the MSF trademark in a scene in the Alia Bhatt-starrer film Jigra to mediation. After hearing preliminary submissions, Justice Mini Pushkarna referred to case to mediation and ordered the parties to appear before the Mediation Centre on December 24.
