[Excise Policy CBI Case] Delhi Court Orders Medical Check-Up for BRS Leader K Kavitha at AIIMS

Today, On 18th July, K Kavitha, a 46-year-old BRS leader, was referred to AIIMS-Delhi from Tihar Jail due to health issues. She had been briefly hospitalized at Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital and is under judicial custody until July 22, facing charges related to a money laundering investigation. The Rouse Avenue Court requested a detailed medical report on her condition.

Today, On 13th May, The Delhi court is set to hear the Enforcement Directorate’s charge sheet against K. Kavitha in the Excise Case on May 14. Kavitha, a leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party, along with four others, is accused in the money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy. The case involves alleged corruption and money laundering in the development and implementation of the policy, with a total of 18 individuals, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, having been arrested so far.
