The Supreme Court of India has transferred Ilaiyaraaja’s copyright suit from the Madras High Court to the Bombay High Court in the ongoing dispute with Sony Music Entertainment India.
The Court said the dispute should be heard in Bombay since the original copyright case was already pending there.
MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court has dismissed the criminal case against famous singer Kailash Kher. He was accused of hurting religious sentiments through his song ‘Babam Bam’. The bench, consisting of Justices Bharati Dangre and Shyam C Chandak, emphasized the value of tolerance in a democratic society.
