The Delhi High Court allowed a mother to travel to the US with her minor son to pursue postgraduate studies. The Court emphasized her Right to Life under Article 21, stating she cannot be denied education for personal growth.
The Supreme Court of India has ruled that menstrual hygiene is part of the right to life under Article 21 and should be treated as a shared responsibility of men and women. The Court stressed that open discussion on menstruation in schools with both boys and girls is essential to end stigma and ensure dignity for girl students.
Today, On 30th January, The Supreme Court affirmed that the right to life under Article 21 includes the right to menstrual health, mandating free sanitary pads and separate toilets in schools. It said menstrual hygiene ensures reproductive health, equality, dignity, and fair opportunity for every girl.
The Delhi High Court held that access to electricity is a fundamental right under Article 21 and cannot be denied to a person in lawful possession of a property. The Court ordered BSES to restore power without insisting on a landlord’s NOC despite a pending tenancy dispute.

Today, On 25th August, Supreme Court has ruled that even a death penalty confirmed by the top court can still be challenged through an Article 32 petition, as seen in the case of Vasanta Sampta Dupare where mitigating circumstances will be reconsidered.
