A Calcutta High Court Bench criticised the CBI’s handling of the RG Kar rape and murder investigation, questioning its limited probe and asking, “Who had tied the hands of the CBI?”, while stressing the court’s commitment to ensuring justice.
A resident near R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, claiming to be a prosecution witness in the rape and murder case, approached the Calcutta High Court alleging his residence was vandalised after West Bengal Assembly election results and seeking urgent protection.
