Today, On 8th October, The Supreme Court will hear on October 13 a plea seeking a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Vote Chori’ allegations against the Election Commission, filed through a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
A Bengaluru Special Court dismissed a complaint against CM Siddaramaiah and Minister K J George, which alleged a Rs 68 crore loss to BBMP due to their actions from 2015 to 2017. The court found the allegations baseless, lacking evidence, and described them as vague, suggesting the complaint was politically motivated.
A Delhi court today (28th Oct) has postponed its ruling on Engineer Rashid’s regular bail application in a terror funding case, now set for November 19. Rashid, a Lok Sabha MP, was granted interim bail in September to campaign for elections but has since surrendered to Tihar Jail as this bail expired. His defense claims he faces political persecution.
