Kochi, Feb 28: The Kerala High Court has ordered the end of the ‘Punyam Poonkavanam Project’, a community cleaning initiative at the famous Sabarimala temple in Pathanamthitta district. The project, which started in 2011, aimed to keep the temple town clean with the help of devotees, police officers, and government officials.
Today, On 28th January, The Kerala High Court has advised right-wing activist Rahul Easwar to advocate for the rights of all citizens, not just men. Justice PV Kunhikrishnan emphasized that Easwar should broaden his focus to include everyone, regardless of gender. This direction came during a case where Easwar’s activism was seen to primarily address men’s issues. The Court highlighted the need for inclusive advocacy for all sections of society.

Badharudeen, quashed criminal proceedings against a mother for failing to report her 17-year-old daughter’s pregnancy, citing her emotional trauma as the cause for her delay. The Court emphasized that her actions were not intentional and further prosecution would be unjustified.
