The Delhi High Court heard senior journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s plea challenging denial of OCI status after he tendered an unconditional apology for failing to disclose certain facts before the Court in his petition against the Central government’s decision.
Today, On 8th September, The Karnataka High Court adjourned till September 11 the plea against the Online Gaming Bill, 2025, which bans real money games, noting the Supreme Court may soon transfer all similar cases. Justice B Shyam Prasad observed, “If apex court takes it up, nothing remains for us.”
The Delhi court postponed Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s sexual harassment case due to the public prosecutor’s absence. Singh sought travel documents, but the hearing was deferred to July 11. The police opposed Singh’s request, citing it as a ploy for re-investigation, while Singh’s legal team argued the documents were vital for his defense.
