Today(on 23rd July),The Delhi High Court directed Google and X to remove social media posts alleging that Anjali Birla, daughter of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, cleared the UPSC exams due to nepotism. Justice Navin Chawla issued an interim order for the posts to be removed within 24 hours.
Anjali Birla, an Indian Railway Personnel Service officer and daughter of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court to remove social media posts alleging that she gained UPSC exam success through her father’s influence. The case has been given urgent consideration by Justice Navin Chawla today. Birla denies the allegations, seeking the removal of defamatory posts.
