NALSA has postponed the National Lok Adalat in northern regions due to escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border. Affected areas include Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. Despite this, over 1.82 crore cases were resolved nationwide on May 10, highlighting the efficacy of Lok Adalats in facilitating dispute resolution.
The Second National Lok Adalat of 2025 will take place on May 10 across 28 states and Union Territories, under the leadership of Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and CJI-designate Justice BR Gavai.
The first National Lok Adalat of 2025 achieved a historic milestone with the disposal of over 3.09 crore cases nationwide, ensuring swift justice and significant financial relief.
The 4th National Lok Adalat of 2024 resolved 1.45 crore cases, enhancing access to justice and reducing court burdens.
