The Supreme Court has asked the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to file an affidavit explaining its stand on publishing NEET-PG answer keys. The move comes after petitions seeking greater transparency in the medical entrance exam evaluation process.
A PIL has been filed with the Supreme Court challenging the cancellation of the NEET Super Specialty exams for 2024, citing concerns about its abrupt nature and impact on medical aspirants. The court, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, issued a notice and allowed the National Board of Examinations to be included as a party in the case.
Today(on 15th March), the Supreme Court refused to delay the NEET MDS 2024 exam despite requests, aligning with its policy of not interfering in educational authorities’ decisions. The decision, influenced by a previous petition, has raised concerns among aspirants about eligibility criteria changes and logistical challenges, impacting thousands of candidates.
