S&A Law Offices advised AI Assets Holding Limited (AIAHL) on the successful sale and transfer of Mumbai’s iconic Air India Building at Nariman Point to the Government of Maharashtra through the Governor of Maharashtra. The landmark transaction was completed for a total consideration of Rs.1,601 crore, marking one of Mumbai’s most significant real estate deals in recent years.
On Thursday(5th September),The Supreme Court directed Sahara Group to deposit Rs 1,000 crore into an escrow account within 15 days and permitted a joint venture to develop its Versova land, aiming to realize Rs 10,000 crore. This amount is required to be deposited into the SEBI-Sahara refund account to return investors’ money as per a 2012 court order.
Ramesh Sippy’s plea for court receiver in property dispute and film rights post-parents’ demise was rejected by the Bombay High Court. The court found insufficient evidence to support Sippy’s claim and noted inconsistencies in his position. Sippy sought a share in the estate of his deceased parents, including a prized flat in South Mumbai and the rights to 27 films.
