Bombay High Court has issued notices to NIA, Maharashtra govt, and seven acquitted accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case after victims’ families challenged their acquittal. The court will hear the appeal in six weeks.
Families of victims of the 2008 Malegaon blast have moved the Bombay High Court against the special NIA court’s order acquitting Pragya Singh Thakur, Lt Col Prasad Purohit and others. The appeal seeks to overturn the judgment that cleared all accused except one convicted under the Arms Act.
