The Supreme Court allowed the Unnao rape survivor to become a party in the CBI’s plea challenging the suspension of former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s life imprisonment. The court said victims must be heard in proceedings that directly affect their rights.
The Unnao rape survivor expressed relief after the Supreme Court refused bail to former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the custodial death case of her father. She said she has struggled for eight years to prove the crime and urged the court to deliver justice for her father.

Today, On 15th January, The victim has moved the Delhi High Court seeking to lead further evidence and examine two prosecution witnesses in the 2017 case against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. She also wants to place date of birth documents on record.
A Delhi court has allowed forensic examination of the Unnao gang rape survivor’s voice sample to verify disputed audio and video recordings. The court clarified that the CFSL report will only aid the trial and its evidentiary value will be assessed later.
