Delhi High Court will hear on September 8 a petition challenging the NHAI notification that makes CLAT-PG scores mandatory for hiring lawyers, with the plea terming the move “arbitrary, irrational” and discriminatory against many qualified legal professionals.
Today, On 4th April, The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has approached the Delhi High Court challenging the rejection of its ad-hoc panel for the Bihar Olympic Association. The plea seeks reconsideration of the decision and a fresh start to the management process. The IOA’s counsel suggested restarting the procedure from the formation of a fact-finding committee. The court has scheduled the next hearing to allow the counsel to finalize instructions.
Baramulla MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh, currently an undertrial in a terror funding case, has challenged the government’s demand of Rs.1.4 lakh daily for travel to Parliament. The Delhi High Court previously granted him permission to attend, conditional on covering travel expenses. Rashid argues this condition risks unrepresenting his constituency.
