The Supreme Court Today (Oct 18) refused to set aside the anticipatory bail given to Bhavani Revanna, the mother of suspended JD(S) leader and rape accused Prajwal Revanna, in a kidnapping case. Court refused to interfere with the Karnataka High Court order and junked the plea filed by the state government. Bhavani Revanna is accused of trying to prevent a woman, who was allegedly sexually assaulted by her son, from filing a complaint.
Today(26th Sept), The Karnataka High Court has reserved its decision on the anticipatory bail plea of suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna, who faces serious allegations of repeatedly raping a domestic servant. Justice M Nagaprasanna made the ruling after hearing arguments from both the defense and the prosecution.

Today(on 7th June), The Karnataka High Court granted interim anticipatory bail to Bhavani Revanna in a kidnapping case related to allegations against her son, Prajwal Revanna. An arrest warrant issued earlier by an Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate was stayed, with instructions for the police not to arrest or detain her.
On Friday(17th May), The Supreme Court has asked Janata Dal (Secular) leader BB Patil to respond to Karnataka government’s plea against quashing a criminal complaint for damaging EVMs. The notice was issued by a Bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Satish Chandra Sharma, challenging a 2023 Karnataka High Court order.
