India’s food regulator has filed three adjudication cases against Nestle India over its infant-nutrition products. The FSSAI flagged promotional claims on NAN Excella Pro Stage 1 (relating to ‘5HMOs’ and ‘Whey Protein’) and Lactogen Pro 1 (describing whey protein as easy to digest), and found a follow-up formula sample non-conforming on biotin content after re-analysis. These are adjudication proceedings; no penalty has been imposed and Nestle is yet to be heard.
