The Patna High Court has directed Congress to take down an AI-generated video showing PM Modi with his late mother, Heeraben, after a complaint alleged it tarnished their image. The Delhi Police has also filed an FIR in connection with the viral clip.
Today, on 9th September, in the case concerning remarks against Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer cross-examined a witness in the ongoing defamation case linked to his 2018 Karnataka campaign speech, where he allegedly made derogatory remarks, sparking political controversy and a prolonged legal battle.
In the Pune MP/MLA Court, Rahul Gandhi’s counsel expressed fears of physical harm and political pressure, citing threats from BJP leaders and the complainant’s alleged links to Savarkar and Godse families. The defence urged the court to stay alert to “forces, influences, and extraordinary circumstances” surrounding the case.
