A Patna court extended interim protection from arrest for educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in a case linked to an alleged firing incident at his coaching institute. The protection will continue until June 30 after submission of an updated case diary.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi approached the Madhya Pradesh High Court expressing regret over alleged defamatory remarks against Kartikeya Singh Chouhan. The application stated that the comments made during an election campaign were not intended to refer to Kartikeya, in a defamation case filed before Bhopal court.
The Supreme Court allowed a petitioner to approach the Calcutta High Court over allegations that names excluded from West Bengal’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls were being removed from ration lists. The Bench permitted withdrawal of the petition and granted liberty for further legal action.
