A PIL has been filed before the Delhi High Court seeking a ban on Bangladesh from all international cricket tournaments, citing alleged violence against the Hindu community. The plea also asks to stop Bangladesh’s participation in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

The Supreme Court of India emphasized job security for Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) members under the PoSH Act during a hearing on January 24. The petitioners highlighted disparities in tenure protection between public and private sectors, with private ICC members vulnerable to unjust termination. The court has summoned the Solicitor General for further proceedings.

Yesterday, On 22nd May, The Calcutta High Court directed a committee to re-evaluate a sexual harassment complaint against the Vice-Chancellor of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. The complaint, initially rejected on grounds of limitation, is to be reconsidered without prematurely assessing its accuracy. The court emphasized the need to consider the entire complaint and determine its merits.
