The Rajasthan High Court dismissed a husband’s plea seeking narco-analysis, polygraph and DNA tests in a divorce dispute. Justice Sanjeet Purohit upheld the family court order, ruling that such tests were unnecessary, delayed, and could not be imposed without consent.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court held that a woman married during childhood cannot be denied reasonable maintenance, observing that she was victimised first by child marriage and later by being awarded a meagre maintenance amount. The Court emphasised the need to protect the rights and dignity of women.

The Delhi High Court dismissed a husband’s matrimonial appeal, ruling he could not penalize his wife for delayed defence filing after failing to deposit litigation expenses on time, observing that a party cannot create disadvantage for the respondent and later claim benefit from it.
